
How to make nutritious Banaba bread?
Ingredients
- 3 cups all purpose flour or wheat flour
- 2 cups buttermilk or whole yogurt
- 3 eggs, lightly beaten
- 1/2 cup Raw honey or maple syrup
- 1 tsp salt
- 2 tsp baking soda
- 1/4 cup melted butter
- 2 ripe bananas, mashed
- 1/2 cup chopped walnuts soaked overnight
Process
- Soak flour in buttermilk/yogurt for 12-24 hours in a warm place, covered. Bread will rise even better when soaked for 24 hours.
- Now, blend in the remaining ingredients into the mixture and let it sit for 5-10 mins more.
- Take a loaf pan and butter it well and sprinkle some flour onto it.
- Pour in the mixture and bake at 350 degree Fahrenheit or 175 degree Celsius for 1 and 1/2 hour or until a toothpick comes out clean.
